The Gairdner high school symposium will be on Monday, October 24, 2016 and will be held at the Research Institute at BC Children's Hospital (formerly known as the Child & Family Research Centre). This student symposium will be opened to Grade 10-12 students and will provide a unique opportunity for students to listen to presentations from two distinguished Gairdner award winners, meet health sciences experts and have the opportunity to tour research labs. Please see the attached flyer.
Please note that registration will open on Wednesday, September 14 the Gairdner high school event. Please ensure that you have all the final names and information of the students when registering. Only complete submissions will be processed. The Gairdner National Program [http://www.gairdner.org/], established over 15 years ago, takes place in 16-18 academic centres across the country, is unique in the world of awards. Gairdner awardees travel across the country, from St. John's to Vancouver, to present their work and meet with students. |
