From UBC Medical School
For our 8th Life Sciences Circle event, we will be hosting a session on medicine and anatomy due to popular demand from our last session! We are happy to host Dr. Majid Doroudi from the Department of Cellular & Physiological Sciences (http://cps.med.ubc.ca/faculty/doroudi/?login) to speak at our session on Thursday April 9th, 5-7pm.Dr. Doroudi teaches undergraduate students in the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry and Rehabilitation Sciences, as well as the Musculoskeletal Block in the undergraduate medical and dental curriculum. Being an excellent instructor, Dr. Doroudi was the recipient of 5(!!!) Medical Undergraduate Society Awards for Teaching Excellence, and he will be more than happy to discuss the field of anatomy and medicine. Our events are usually geared towards high-school students and serve as a preview of the many topics in life sciences. However, we extend our invitation to undergraduates currently at UBC as well who may be interested in pursuing medicine in the near future. The main purpose of this session is to answer all of your questions about medical school!
